the cover stars of negativland issue two, mary in the junkyard, were shot locally on tour in germany using a major lighting setup in a small patch of corn. the ghostly look of these images was built upon in post using hand printing techniques. this shoot was followed by a cover shoot of the full band in a more editorial style suitable for shopfronts.
